Welcome to the University of Zurich!

In the week before the autumn semester begins, we invite all new students to the Welcome Days. There, you’ll find out everything you need to know for a successful start and receive valuable tips on how to organise and plan your studies effectively.

Next Welcome Days from 7 to 11 September 2026

Mark the week of 7–11 September 2026 in your calendar! That’s when the 2026 Welcome Days will take place. It kicks off on 7 September with the Warm-up Day for all new students. The faculty-specific introduction days will follow from 8–11 September. You can find further information about the Faculty Days and their programme on the University of Zurich’s website.

Warm-up Day for all new students on 7 September 2026

The warm-up day for all new students offers you the perfect opportunity to get to know your new university. Through a range of engaging presentations, you’ll learn how the digital tools and learning platforms work, receive helpful tips for your first few weeks, and have the chance to ask experienced students your questions directly. In the atrium of the main building (KOL), you’ll also find an orientation fair featuring numerous organisations and central services at UZH. Make the most of this chance to network, discover what’s on offer and get answers to your questions about your studies.
